There’s going to be a winner-take-all season finale at the coming Rally America National Championship! That’s good news for Rally fans, but it’s certainly an interesting way to see the season out. Thanks to a first-place finish by Ryan Millen and co-pilot Christina Fate, the Rally RAV4 team finishes in a points-tie with Cameron Steely in the 2WD Class.

This is big news not only because it sets up an exciting finale, but also because the win for Millen at the Ojibwe Forest Rally makes this the first time the team has finished on the podium overall, vehicle class notwithstanding. Millen credited the performance to some great setup, practice, and a new shock package from the experts at Tein. However, the suspension system would have paled without the superior reliability the RAV4 brings right from the factory.
“This was a pretty solid win. It’s crazy to spend a whole year trying to be as consistent as possible, and now it’s come down to one race. I’m very proud of where we’re at…it’s really rewarding for me,” said an exhausted Millen after the race. “We’re hungry for it, they’re hungry for it. There’s only one goal…winner take all.” Via Toyota Press Release on 8.30.16
